Because I don’t have too many other places to get some real reactions to this.
I’m assembling a pretty all-star design lineup for an event in Flint, Michigan, in a month. Just sorta happened. The poster’s all mine, at this point. Hope to get some decent remixes before the event.
Just Forrest-Gumping it, at the moment. The theme is demystifying and democratizing the design and development process for future entrepreneurs and people who just care about making the world better.
So rip up the poster, and if you want the PSD I’ll send it (I made rules for it). If you think it’s a bad idea, I’m happy to tell you why and how you’re wrong. If you want to join in, and show up in Flint in a month, I’ll be super happy to have you there.

The fact that the line doesn’t cut through the circle’s centerline annoys me more than it has a right to. But it’s a very ncie poster

Overall, I like it. Clean in a nice vintage way, not a 2010s SV minimalism way. I like the shading and color on the dot.
That said two things bother me:
1) the colon. It actually impeded my understanding of the poster. It doesn’t read like a colon to me when it’s next to the much smaller suffixes on the right, which is where my eye went first. I spent a few good seconds staring at those dots before it clicked and I started to put ‘in’ in front of each of the suffixes. I really think you should try some other things besides the colon because otherwise people who glance at the poster while walking past might not get the most important info: the name.
2) the way the logos at the bottom are uneven. It unsettles me, especially since the words on the top tromp right over the line that the logos avoid. But this tension I feel might be a good thing in your book , in which case keep it.
